This seven-night round trip from Miami is a winter warm-up for adults who want a mix of island culture and beach time. Resilient Lady sails on January 9, 2028, calls at Key West, crosses to Ocho Rios in Jamaica and George Town in Grand Cayman, then finishes with a day at Virgin’s own Beach Club at Bimini in the Bahamas before returning to Miami on January 16. January is prime season in the western Caribbean, with dry, sunny weather and pleasant temperatures.

Key West is an easy first stop. You can stroll Duval Street, tour the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum, and photograph the Southernmost Point buoy. In Ocho Rios, the best-known outing is climbing the terraced cascades of Dunn’s River Falls, and the area’s lush hills and gardens make a nice contrast to the beaches.

Grand Cayman is a favorite for water lovers. Seven Mile Beach is long, calm and lined with beach bars, and a boat trip to Stingray City lets you stand in shallow water among friendly southern stingrays. The final day at The Beach Club at Bimini is designed as a laid-back, adults-only beach day, with Virgin’s style carried ashore. It is a good way to end the week before heading home.

Resilient Lady shares the design-forward approach of Virgin’s other ships, with no traditional main dining room and a range of included restaurants. Wi-Fi, gratuities, basic drinks and group fitness are part of the fare, so the price you see covers much of daily life on board. Premium drinks, spa treatments and most shore excursions are extra. As always with Virgin, guests must be 18 or older.

Winter Caribbean dates are popular with Northeast travelers escaping the cold, so earlier booking gives more cabin choice. Let us know what you are looking for and we will check fares and current Virgin promotions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a passport for a Western Caribbean cruise from Miami?
This is a closed-loop sailing from Miami, so some U.S. citizens may travel with other approved documents, but we strongly recommend a passport for Jamaica, Grand Cayman and the Bahamas. Requirements depend on citizenship, and we will confirm yours.

What is The Beach Club at Bimini?
It is Virgin Voyages’ own beach destination in Bimini, in the Bahamas, set up for an adults-only beach day. Ask us which amenities are included in your fare and which cost extra.

Is January a good month for a Caribbean cruise?
Yes. January is in the Caribbean’s dry season, with warm, sunny weather and lower humidity, and it falls well outside hurricane season.
