Fairytales & Hygge is a 12-night Baltic and Scandinavian voyage for travelers who enjoy walkable old towns, maritime history and long summer evenings. Seven Seas Voyager sails from Stockholm on June 2, 2027, crosses to Finland and Estonia, works south along the Baltic coast to Poland and Germany, and finishes with Danish and Swedish ports before an overnight in Copenhagen, ending June 14. June brings some of the longest days of the year this far north.

Stockholm is spread across islands, with the old town of Gamla Stan and the Vasa Museum among the favorites of our clients. Helsinki pairs design and markets with the sea fortress of Suomenlinna, and Tallinn’s medieval old town is one of the best preserved in Europe. Visby, on the Swedish island of Gotland, is wrapped in a medieval stone wall, and both Tallinn and Visby are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Gdańsk has a beautifully rebuilt historic center and is closely tied to the Solidarity movement. From Warnemünde, Berlin is a long but popular day trip, while Aarhus offers the ARoS art museum with its rainbow rooftop walkway and Den Gamle By open-air museum. Helsingborg sits across a narrow strait from Kronborg Castle, the setting of Shakespeare’s Hamlet. Copenhagen, home of Hans Christian Andersen’s Little Mermaid statue, gets an overnight, so you can enjoy Nyhavn and Tivoli Gardens in the evening.

Seven Seas Voyager is an all-suite ship from Regent Seven Seas Cruises. The line is known for its inclusive fares, which in most cases cover shore excursions, fine wines and spirits, specialty dining, prepaid gratuities and Wi-Fi, and many include round-trip air. With just one sea day, this is a busy, port-intensive itinerary, so the comfort of the ship matters. We will spell out what your chosen fare includes before you decide.

Tell us how many nights you would like in Stockholm or Copenhagen and which suite you have in mind, and we will check pricing, availability and current promotions for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you visit Berlin from Warnemünde on a cruise?
Yes, but Berlin is roughly three hours each way from Warnemünde, so it makes for a long day. If that is too much, nearby Rostock and the seaside town of Warnemünde itself are easy, relaxed alternatives.

Do I need a visa for a Baltic cruise?
Most ports on this route are in the Schengen Area, and many travelers, including US citizens, do not need a visa for short stays. Europe is rolling out new electronic entry systems, so requirements depend on your citizenship and we will confirm what applies before you sail.

What is the weather like in Scandinavia in June?
June is usually mild and pleasant, with long daylight hours and cooler evenings. A light jacket and layers are a good idea, as sea breezes and showers are common.
