This 15-night Crystal voyage suits travelers who want China, South Korea and Japan in one spring trip, with time to settle into the big cities. Crystal Serenity overnights in Hong Kong from April 23, 2027, spends two nights in Shanghai, crosses to Busan, then explores Japan’s Inland Sea region and Pacific coast before an overnight in Yokohama, ending May 8. Late April and early May bring mild spring weather across the region.
Hong Kong’s overnight is a chance to see the harbor lit up after dark and to ride the Star Ferry. Xiamen is known for Gulangyu, a car-free island of colonial-era villas and gardens. Shanghai’s two nights allow time for the riverfront Bund, the classical Yu Garden and the modern towers of Pudong across the river. Busan, South Korea’s busy port city, offers the hillside Gamcheon Culture Village and one of Asia’s largest fish markets.
Hiroshima is a moving stop, with the Peace Memorial Park and Museum, and the island of Miyajima and its floating torii gate nearby. Beppu, on Kyushu, is famous for its hot springs, including colorful pools known as the “hells.” Wakayama and Nagoya show quieter sides of Japan, with castles, gardens and access to the sacred mountain monastery town of Koyasan from Wakayama. Yokohama’s overnight makes it easy to spend time in Tokyo before you fly home.
Crystal Serenity is a classic ultra-luxury ship that Crystal has refurbished. Crystal is known for polished service and an all-inclusive style, with fares that generally include beverages, gratuities and most specialty dining. Three sea days are spread through the trip for rest between busy city stops. We will go over what your fare includes.
