This nine-night Crystal voyage suits curious travelers who want to experience the Arabian Peninsula in comfort, from Dubai’s modern skyline to Oman’s traditional souks and Saudi Arabia’s historic Red Sea port. Crystal Symphony overnights in Dubai from April 26, 2028, calls at Fujairah, Muscat and Salalah, then spends three days at sea before arriving in Jeddah on May 5. Late April and May are hot across the region.
Dubai’s overnight allows time for the Burj Khalifa, the old souks along Dubai Creek and an evening desert excursion. Fujairah, on the UAE’s east coast, is backed by the Hajar Mountains and is home to Al Bidya Mosque, considered the oldest in the country. Muscat, the capital of Oman, is a highlight for many travelers, with the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, the Mutrah Souq and the corniche along the harbor.
Salalah, in southern Oman, is known for its frankincense heritage, with sites recognized by UNESCO as the Land of Frankincense. After three sea days, the voyage ends in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea gateway. Its historic Al-Balad district, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is known for coral-stone houses with carved wooden balconies. The cruise line may adjust routes in this region based on conditions, so we will keep you informed.
Crystal Symphony is a refurbished classic ship from Crystal, a line known for its warm service and fine dining. Crystal’s inclusive fares generally take care of beverages, gratuities and most specialty dining. The three sea days near the end are a good time to rest after busy days in port. We will review what your fare includes.
If you are curious about the Arabian Peninsula, we are glad to help you plan. Tell us your travel dates and we will check fares, cabin availability and any promotions.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a visa for Saudi Arabia and Oman on a cruise?
Many nationalities can get tourist e-visas for Saudi Arabia and Oman, and the UAE offers visas on arrival to some travelers. Requirements depend on your citizenship, so we will confirm what you need before you sail.
What should I wear on a cruise to the Middle East?
Lightweight, modest clothing that covers shoulders and knees is best for sightseeing, and women will need a headscarf for mosque visits. Sun protection is essential in the heat.
Is it a good idea to stay in Jeddah after the cruise?
A night in Jeddah lets you explore Al-Balad, but this sailing ends around the time of the annual Hajj pilgrimage, when the city is especially busy. We will check flights and hotels carefully if you want to add a stay.
