Shores of Kamehameha is a 17-night ocean crossing for travelers who love time at sea as much as time ashore. Seven Seas Splendor sails from San Francisco on January 6, 2028, spends five days crossing to Hawaii, visits four islands, then sails five more days south across the equator to French Polynesia, arriving in Papeete on January 23. January is winter in Hawaii, which is also humpback whale season, and summer in Tahiti.

Honolulu is the natural starting point for Hawaiian history, from Pearl Harbor to ʻIolani Palace and the statue of King Kamehameha I, who united the islands. Nawiliwili is the port for Kauai, with Waimea Canyon and views toward the Nā Pali Coast. Kahului on Maui gives access to Haleakalā, the island’s great volcano. Hilo, on the island of Hawaiʻi, is the gateway to Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park and to waterfalls on the green, rainy side of the island.

French Polynesia makes a dramatic finale. Bora Bora is known for its turquoise lagoon and the peak of Mount Otemanu. Huahine is quieter and more traditional, with ancient marae stone temples and a slower pace that many of our clients prefer. The voyage ends in Papeete on Tahiti, an easy place to add a few nights or connect to an overwater bungalow stay.

Seven Seas Splendor is one of Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ newer all-suite ships, and the line is known for its elegant style and inclusive fares. Typically, fares include shore excursions, fine wines and spirits, specialty dining, prepaid gratuities and Wi-Fi, and round-trip air is part of many fares. With ten sea days, the onboard experience is a big part of this trip. We will make sure you know exactly what your fare covers.

This is a voyage people plan well ahead. Tell us your ideal suite and whether you want extra time in Tahiti, and we will check current fares, availability and promotions.
