This seven-night Crystal sailing is ideal for travelers with a week to spare who want a mix of Greek islands, the Peloponnese and the Adriatic coast. Crystal Symphony departs Piraeus, the port of Athens, on May 4, 2027, visits Milos, Kalamata and Corfu, then sails north to Montenegro and Croatia before arriving in Venice on May 11. May is a lovely time to sail here, with warm days and lighter crowds than midsummer.
Milos is a volcanic island known for its striking coastline, including the white, wave-carved rocks of Sarakiniko, and it is where the Venus de Milo statue was discovered. Kalamata, in the southern Peloponnese, is famous for its olives and is a gateway to the ruins of Ancient Messene. Corfu’s old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, blends Venetian fortresses, arcaded streets and Greek island life.
In Kotor, energetic travelers can climb the steps up to the fortress above town for sweeping views of the bay. Dubrovnik’s car-free old town, ringed by its famous walls, is easy to explore on foot, and a cable car climbs to a viewpoint above the city. After a relaxing sea day, the voyage ends at Fusina, Venice’s mainland cruise terminal, with short water transfers into the city.
Crystal Symphony is a refurbished classic ship from Crystal, a line known for gracious service and an all-inclusive approach. Fares generally include beverages, gratuities and most specialty dining, so a short trip like this feels effortless. With just one sea day, the focus is on the ports. We will review your fare’s inclusions with you.
Athens and Venice are both worth extra nights. Share your travel window with us, and we will price the cruise, check suite availability and suggest hotels on either end.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is May a good time for a Greek islands cruise?
Yes. May usually brings warm, sunny days, comfortable temperatures for sightseeing and fewer crowds than July and August. The sea may still be cool for swimming early in the month.
Should I visit the Acropolis before my cruise from Piraeus?
We recommend it. Piraeus is close to central Athens, and arriving a day or two early gives you time for the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum without rushing.
Do I need a visa for a cruise from Athens to Venice?
Greece, Croatia and Italy are in the Schengen Area, while Montenegro has its own entry rules. Requirements depend on your citizenship, so we will confirm what applies to you.
